Dreaming of Snow: A Colorful Landscape
What should I say about this painting? It takes me to a peaceful place, maybe a hill station with snow gently covering the ground, the river reflecting the sky, and the trees standing bare, having lost their leaves. The scene feels frozen in time, right before the sun rises and the day begins. The golden light is just starting to reflect on the river, like a soft promise of a new day.
Painting this was a unique experience for me—I took so many breaks! But every time I returned to the canvas, I felt more connected to the landscape I was creating. Snow is something I’ve always dreamed of experiencing. I’ve never played in the snow, but one day I want to be surrounded by it, maybe even create art with snow itself! I don’t know when that day will come, but I hold onto that dream.
In this painting, I used many colors to bring the scene to life. I wanted it to feel both cold and warm, quiet and full of energy—just like nature can be. What do you think of this scene? Do you like snow as much as I do? I’d love to know your thoughts!
